Paine Hamblen Municipal Practice Group has
extensive experience in municipal law, including
general administrative work, labor work and
litigation. General administrative experience
includes drafting ordinances, resolutions, contracts
and franchises, using the knowledge of state and
federal laws regarding municipal authority, liability
and purposes and budget drafting based on tax revenue
and new legislation or initiatives. Our municipal
labor work involves all areas needed by a large
employer, including employment issues, labor
negotiations and specialized defenses due to the
claims of constitutional violations by a government
when an employee is terminated or disciplined. Paine
Hamblen's municipal litigation practice includes
expertise in specialized defenses such as governmental
immunity, agent immunity and legislative authority.
